Para quem não assiste, um background rápido: Callie e Arizona enfim vão se casar. Callie acabou de ter uma filha; o pai é o Sloan, que é amigo das duas. A menina tem um pai e duas mães; é uma família bem diferente. Entretanto, a mãe da Callie é muito religiosa e não consegue aceitar que ela teve um filho fora do casamento, e muito menos que vai se casar com uma mulher.

Callie: I’m getting married in a church for you.

Mother: Don't you dare imply that there's anything about a wedding to a woman or... a baby out of wedlock that’s for me.

Callie: Wow... ok... so what bothers you most? My bastard child or my lesbian fiancée? You’re a lawyer mom, you’re out in the world, you know other gay people, your secretary is gay... I’m your daughter!

Mother: Do you know how devastating it is to raise a child, to love a child, and know you won’t see that child in heaven? You are not a bride, and I am not the mother of a bride, now this... this is... this isn’t your wedding, it isn’t right, I’m sorry. I can’t be here, I just can’t.

Ela vai embora, e a Callie desiste de se casar. Quem salva o dia é a Bailey, com um dos quotes mais lindos que já vi.
